From Port El Kantaoui, yachting port that managed to avoid " tourism architecture ", to Monastir, where the ribat (fort) has been magnificently restored, through Sousse, the biggest town with its rich medina, ribat, mosque and Carthagian mosaic Museum, one cannot count hotels of all categories along beautiful beaches, among which some quite pleasant palaces.

A bit further North, or at Mahdia, there are also more quiet and typical villages. In Sfax, big port and major industrial town, you embark to Kerkennah Islands, large sand banks covered with palm trees, birds and small fishermen's houses, who still use ancient triangle sail felucca.
